Sage Instant Accounts allows you to configure a Sage template to produce invoices with your Company logo and information.
This eliminates the need for both headed stationery and Sage stationery.
To set up a template, go to Tools and click on Report Designer.

A new window will open. Click on "Open an Existing Report" in the Getting Started section.

This opens a new window that looks like this:

Scroll down on "Files of type" to Layout Files and click.

The window will then have all the template layouts in it.
Click on the most appropriate template, for this demonstration we have chosen INVPRCA4.layout which is an A4 template for invoices and credits with a unit price and no discount given to customers. If you need to use a different template, then decide which is the best for your situation and choose that template.

The template can be adapted to suit your requirements for example by inserting your Company logo in the header and address details in the footer.
To insert your Company logo, which you must have saved on your computer, select Toolbox and then Image (embedded).
Left click on the template where you want to position the logo. A window will open so that you can find the file with the Company logo.
You can resize and drag your Company logo as necessary.
Right click on the logo and select Order and either Send to Back or Bring to Front as preferred.
Any fields on the template not required can be deleted. Drag or resize fields as required by clicking on them so boxes appear around the field which allow for dragging or resizing.
At the bottom of the template click in the box "Total Net Amount" and double click at the end of the wording and add a £ sign.

Do the same in the "Carriage Net", "Total VAT Amount" and "Invoice Total" boxes.
You can preview the changes you have made to the template by clicking on "View" at the top, and then "Preview":

Save the Template with an appropriate name.
To use the Invoice Template you have created to produce invoices for your clients, use our Help Page titled "Invoicing a client using an invoice template".
